A few days back, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri requested PM Imran Khan to put a ban on game shows during the month of Ramadan. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri mentioned that the promotion of Islamic teachings and sectarian harmony should be the main interest and focus of the transmission and the channels should set guidelines in order to avoid any disturbance.
After the issue was raised on social media many of the celebrities and audience stood forward to share their point of view regarding the current matter. Recently, actor Ahmad Ali Butt took his official Instagram handle to take stand against banning good quality game shows in Ramadan. Ahmad Ali Butt stated that we should ban the fake news, paid news anchors, the propagandas, people who make mockery of religion on TV and the shows which just spread fear and lies.
While supporting the game shows in Ramadan, Ahmad Ali Butt mentioned that “But we all know that good quality game shows are much needed entertainment for the whole family especially in Ramadan. People like Fahad Mustafa have devoted their all for providing quality entertainment for Pakistan. We should be proud of such shows, so focus on the real problems our country is facing and I’m sure you’ll get passes for the show soon.”
