Ahmed Ali Butt said, “Another Indian artist who fell from grace is Javed Akhtar. I now think he is a stigma on art. He came here last year, and we showed him respect, yet he spoke a lot against Pakistan. I have come to the conclusion that you can’t expect respect from the Indians, and they don’t deserve our respect. It’s like an Urdu saying, ‘Kuttay ko kheer hazam nahi hoti – a dog cannot digest sweet pudding.’ Likewise, he doesn’t deserve our respect. I am a composed man, but if you give so much respect to someone like him and he responds with so much hate, then he deserves this trolling.”
