Ali Ansari and Sajal Aly are two brilliant Pakistani actors who are also related to each other, as Ali is married to Saboor Aly, who is Sajal Aly’s sister, and they share a great bonding. Sajal Aly supports Ali Ansari, and Ali also praises Sajal’s remarkable acting skills.

Last year, both actors made headlines for their Ramzan dramas. Ali Ansari starred in the drama serial Aas Paas, while Sajal Aly appeared in Dil Wali Gali Mein alongside Hamza Sohail, which was directed by Kashif Nisar. Both dramas were remarkably successful, but Aas Paas received tremendous views, far ahead of Dil Wali Gali Mein, and became a highly successful Ramzan drama.

Recently, Ali Ansari opened up about delivering a bigger hit primetime show than Sajal Aly during the same timeline.

Talking about it, Ali Ansari said, “Of course, there has been a rivalry, and you can say a family competition too when it comes to Aas Paas beating Dil Wali Gali Mein. Let it be—I enjoyed the success. Just leave the competition aside; the numbers speak louder than words. In terms of production value, Dil Wali Gali Mein was very nice; it was way ahead of Aas Paas. But numbers-wise, Aas Paas was the hit. I do look for production value too, but there are some productions who are only working with chosen people. They don’t work outside their team, this is a field where everyone deserves a chance, that’s how a project grows. It should not be like you have certain people and you are working with the same team—it becomes boring. If you are not going out of your league and not letting others in, you will fail and you are failing in numbers, you are doing something wrong. Try to break your way of working, because run-of-the-mill projects are outdoing the dramas which have more production value. You have been renting the same house for dramas—do something different; the audience wants more.” Watch here:
