Ali Tahir is a versatile Pakistani stage and television actor who first gained recognition for comedy performance in the old PTV sitcom Teen Bata Teen. His recent hit dramas include Ajnabi Raastey, Inkaar, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, Shirin Farhad, Sher, Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Qalandar, and others. Ali Tahir is the son of senior artist, educationist, and writer Naeem Tahir and renowned radio personality Yasmeen Tahir. He is married to actress Wajeeha Tahir, who was his colleague and a cast member in his debut TV appearance, Teen Bata Teen. Ali is the father of an adorable daughter.
Recently, Ali Tahir appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Excuse Me. In the interview, he opened up about a bad experience at the set, which happened right after his mother’s death.
Speaking about it, Ali Tahir said, “There are many bad experiences because our sets have always been haphazard. Although I never walked out of the set because I believe one should not be this delicate or sensitive to leave the set on minor issues because producers have spent their money on it. But yes, recently I did a serial, and it was the same time my mother passed away. I was filming a scene where I had to wear a beard, and it had some other dirt or material in it, and I waited for seven hours to get my scene. I got so angry after that. I was upset with the director. I said, “Your planning is very bad.” That’s all I could say. I have seen people badmouthing team after such experiences.
