Recently, Aliya Ali appeared on Nadia Khan’s morning show to promote her film Item. In the interview, she opened up about filming bold scenes.
In response to Nadia Khan’s question, “Did you feel uncomfortable filming bold scenes?”, Aliya Ali replied, “I never objected to bold scenes or costumes because there was a reason behind it; whenever I would appear on the floor wearing a bold dress, Huma Shaikh would announce on the mic that Aliya is coming and she used to ask everyone to turn their faces to the opposite side. I would have felt uncomfortable if there hadn’t been a woman producer. She used to make this announcement because I had already told her that I felt uneasy wearing obscene dresses. She was always considerate due to the presence of a male crew.”
