Amar Khan is the daughter of senior actress Fariha Jabeen. Fariha Jabeen has been appearing in dramas for around four decades now. As a single mother, she brought up her daughter with utmost care and struggled against patriarchy single-handedly. Today, her daughter is an actress, writer and filmmaker and she is achieving new success everyday.
Amar Khan was a guest on Imran Ashraf’s show and spoke about the struggles her mother has faced and what she has faced in the industry after that. The starlet shared that she feels her struggles are nothing today as her mother went through a lot of pain in her time. She has seen her own fair share of hard times but she feels her mother has done a lot for her to reap the fruit.
She also revealed her struggling period in the industry. Amar revealed that she has studied filmmaking and she had the script of Dum Mastam which she tried to narrate to everyone in the industry. She was snubbed by many producers and distributors and that is why her film took 3 years to go on floors.
Amar Khan did not take this to heart and kept struggling for her film. She finally found a producer in Adnan Siddiqui but she has faced times when people in power would make her narrate the scripts to their juniors and they would walk out midway. Amar Khan also revealed that she was in so much pain at the time. She prayed to Allah to help her and by the grace of God, she finally had her opportunity and Dum Mastam turned from a dream into a reality.This was a pain for her but she kept her head high and finally realized her dream.
