Amjad Sabri was a renowned Pakistani qawwal, internationally famous for his powerful vocals, popular Kalams and strong legacy. He tragically lost his life in 2016 after being shot by unidentified gunmen during the holy month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. He was around 39 years old at the time of his death and left behind five children and two wives. Amjad Sabri’s sudden and tragic passing was a shock to his fans. His son Mujadid is now carrying on his father’s legacy.
Today, Amjad Sabri’s son Mujadid Amjad Sabri appeared in Samaa TV transmission on his 9th death anniversary. In the transmission, he recited his father’s last Kalam. Amjad Sabri recited ‘Aey Sabz Gumbad Waley’ in Samaa TV’s Ramzan transmission a day before his death in 2016.
Mujaddid Amjad Sabri’s recitation was quite similar to his father’s. Mujaddid’s voice, vocals, and style were as effortless as those of Amjad Sabri. Here is the link to the video:
