Qarz e Jaan is a drama airing on Hum TV. It is written by Rabia Razzaque and directed by Saqib Khan. Yumna Zaidi and Usama Khan play the lead roles and all the cast in the show have done a fabulous job. The show is performing phenomenally with the audience and one actor who has come out on top and won the viewers is Nameer Khan who plays the shady Ammar. Though it is a negative character, the actor’s portrayal has made him television’s most loved bad boy.
Ammar Bakhtiyar is a character of Qarz e Jaan who is involved in sexual violence, drugs and everything wrong under the sun. Nameer Khan has gotten the essence of the character and he has shown him not just as a criminal but also a boy with a troubled past who has gone through parental abuse.
Nameer Khan spoke to Mahwash Ajaz in an interview for Qarz e Jaan and there came a horrifying revelation. The character Ammar is actually based on a real life man who is from the writer Rabia Razzaque’s own family thus she has seen the character up close making the writing close to reality.
Sadaf Haider revealed that the writer told her that her own nephew is the person Ammar is based on. He killed a relative and everyone treated it as a very trivial matter. This happens a lot in such families and backgrounds.
