Areej Chaudhary and Sarah Omair are mainstream Pakistani television actresses who have worked in hit Pakistani dramas. Areej Chaudhary recently worked in two hit dramas Tark E Wafa & Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum while Sarah Omair is a television star from the past who once played lead roles in multiple Pakistan television plays. Sarah Omair got married to TV director Mohsin Talat and has now made a comeback through dramas like Maamlat, Targheeb and Ishq Mubarak.
Areej Chaudhary and Sarah Omair were guests at Good Morning Pakistan. In the show, they shared the upsetting incidents about the new girls in the media.
Talking about it, Areej Chaudhary said,
“I want to share a story from Lahore. I was doing a play as the main lead. In the cast, we had a junior artist who seemed to be a less privileged and struggling artist, hired on daily wages. During the shoot, I overheard some crew members saying, ‘I have watched her when she was changing the dress in the room. Let me show you all’, and they gathered together to watch her. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I wasn’t well-known or someone in a position of power on that set, but I kept checking outside the changing room. When she came out, I told her what had just happened. I also advised her to be cautious of her surroundings while changing. She was very upset about it. I am very much conscious about it, I don’t even try clothes in the changing rooms of brands’ outlets”. Here is the link to the video:
Sarah Omair also shared a story from a set when she was a young actor. She said,
“I was working with a very renowned director—whose name I won’t mention. As junior artists, we were used to working with well-behaved professionals like Sir Kazim Pasha. We were among the last batch of artists trained by them. During a shoot, all the cast members were sitting around a table, and I felt someone touching me under the table. It was the director trying to touch me inappropriately. I immediately changed my chair. Later, he grabbed my arm while saying something, and I just slapped him across the face and said, ‘I don’t want to work with you ever again.’ Fareeha Jabeen and her cousin were on set with me, and I believe they’ve narrated this incident to many people in the industry. I’m the kind of person who can’t tolerate such behavior. People know that I’m a very strict person.” Here is the link to the video:
