Areeka Haq is one of the pioneer TikTok stars and digital influencers in Pakistan. She has over 12 million followers on TikTok and 4.2 million on Instagram. Known for her stylish content and charismatic presence, she has built a massive online fanbase. Areeka has also appeared in multiple music videos by top Pakistani singers such as Asim Azhar, Shamoon Ismail, and Young Stunners.
Areeka Haq has recently made her television debut with a major appearance in ARY Digital’s hit drama Kafeel. She plays the role of a teenage girl, Daneen, who is deeply in love with Subuk, the son of Zeba and Jami. In the drama, Daneen is portrayed as being quite intense and obsessive in her love for Subuk.
About her character in Kafeel, Areeka Haq revealed that she had disagreements with Daneen’s character and that her real-life personality is very different from the role she plays on screen.
Talking to Fuchsia Magazine, Areeka Haq said, “Daneen is a girl who is crazy in love with Subuk, which doesn’t align with my ideologies. So Meesam Bhai sat me down and made me understand that Daneen is different from Areeka. It’s not you—it’s the character. Yes, for you she may seem crazy, and her ideology is different from yours, so just be Daneen. I often used to say to Meesam Bhai that she is too obsessed and desperate, but he told me that I have to be Daneen.” Watch here:
Areeka Haq further added, “It is not easy to find a partner. I need to get into my feminine energy first. I know, I will find someone whose masculine energy is stronger than mine. Since I am the eldest daughter, I do all my chores myself and I am quite independent—almost like a boy. So it will happen only when his energy is double mine.
