Arifa Siddiqui is a renowned Pakistani television actress and a brilliant singer. She worked in Pakistani television as an actor and singer during the 1980s and 1990s. Arifa Siddiqui’s notable television dramas include Fishaar, Qismat, Dehleez, Zard Gulab, Sarab, Samandar, Status, Tota Kahani, Band Gali, Khuwaja and Sons, Pyas, Miraat Ul Uroos, Shahla Kot, and Inkaar. She also took part in multiple popular singing and game shows.
Arifa Siddiqui is currently away from mainstream media but is producing music and doing digital content creation along with her husband, Tabeer. The couple lives in Lahore.
Recently, the couple visited Karachi and were saddened to see the city’s current situation. Arifa Siddiqui also shared her memories of Karachi, which was once known as the City of Lights.
Talking about it, Arifa Siddiqui said, “We have seen Karachi in earlier times when it used to be called the City of Lights. It was vibrant and awake, and renowned worldwide for its lights, activities, food, and nightlife. It was famous for its glory. While traveling by train, I was waiting to see the station and the same Karachi, but I felt sad the moment we entered the city. We saw heaps of garbage all across the city, and it was not pleasant to witness. When you enter a city, it is the face of that city, and it should be clean and green. Karachi is one of the major cities of Pakistan, and the government should take care of it. Now, we will work for a clean and green Karachi. It is a beautiful city and should be clean and green like Lahore. Make it like the UAE, create smaller administrative units, and manage it properly.”
Arifa Siddiqui’s husband also said that there is no harm in cleaning your house or your city. The couple also announced that they will sing an awareness song about Clean and Green Karachi. Here is the link to the video:
