Saim Khan is an ARY News anchor who is known for his active social media presence, excellent speaking skills and his content creation. The anchor also boasts a substantial Instagram following 86K followers. Lately, the news anchor spoke on a viral statement of senior actor Atiqa Odho, who expressed her disgust for men with hairy chests and she Al’s called out drama actor Ali Raza for frequently flaunting his hairy chest in drama serial Dastak.
Replying to Atiqa Odho, Saim Khan said, “With all due respect to Atiqa Odho Sahiba, the comments she passed about Ali Raza werenโt fair. Now, if you reverse the roles and a male actor says the exact thing to a female actor โ that she (a female actor) needs to get her body hair waxed as her hairy body is โyuckโ, it disgusts us, and is off-putting โ social media would have been abuzz with negativity and criticism by now.
Having said that, I am not here to target anyone. Nowadays, when we are trying hard to spread body positivity because of our complex and regressing society โ where girls are single because they canโt get good proposals due to not having certain good looks, and where many others are struggling with body dysmorphia โ such statements are unfair.” Here is the link to the video:
He further shared, “To Every Body Out There – Male or Female: Your body is not a trend! It’s not meant to fit an Instagram filter, a magazine standard, or someone else’s approval. It’s your home, the one that carries your heart, your stories, your pain, and your power. Whether you have hair, scars, stretch marks, softness, or muscle; you are whole. You are worthy. Men and women both are allowed to take up space, both are allowed to exist in their truth, unapologetically. Let’s stop measuring our value in inches, kilos, or likes. You are not a before or after photo – you are a human being, deserving of love, respect, and peace in your own skin.”
