Recently, Asma Abbas shared her perspective about Love in her latest YouTube vlog.
In the vlog, Asma Abbas said, “Love changes its meaning and shape with age and time. For example, in the teenage years, love feels like a fairytale, but later on, it turns out that those were just feelings. In the twenties, the meaning of love changes, and individuals think that love is all about marriage. You root for marriage and immediately get into it, desperately becoming a housewife and mother. During our youth, girls used to look up to marriage to fulfill their wishes. At that time, it was impossible to make boyfriends or talk to boys, so shadi was the only escape for girls. Early marriages turned many women into devoted wives and mothers.
She further added that the real meaning of love is respect and care. Saying, ‘I love you’ is quite unreasonable; instead, spouses should say, ‘I respect you and I care for you.’ Many couples live peaceful lives because they respect each other, while those who constantly fight lack respect and care.”
