Asma Abbas is a senior Pakistani television artist known for her excellent acting in famous and hit Pakistani TV dramas. Her notable player include Dumpukht, GT Road, Akbari Asghari, Khumaar, Daldal, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Chupke Chupke, Chaudhary and Sons, Radd and others. Asma Abbas was recently praised in Mann Jogi and Baby Baji ki Bahuwain and Dastak. Nowadays, she is hosting a Punjabi show Punjabi Kuriyaan.
Recently, Asma Abbas appeared in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where she opened up about her cancer diagnosis, treatment and multiple other illnesses.
Talking about it, Asma Abbas said, “It was a difficult time, Allah helped me in that time, Zara was with me throughout my illness. I was noticing unusual things in me before diagnosis. I was shrinking a lot, Although, I felt happy that I am reducing weight but it was something else. It took time in diagnosis but still it was detected timely after which I didn’t delay my treatment. I wrapped up two projects instantly and started treatment. Many people told me to get the treatment done from USA. My brother asked me to come to USA but our father used to say, ‘the angel of death can come anywhere’, so these were the beliefs, I got the treatment in Pakistan. Evil eyes is for real! It might have happened to me as well. Thanks to Allah for his blessings. Besides this, I have many other illnesses. I have plates in my neck, the tendons of my shoulders are cracked, I am diabetic for around twenty years, but I am still doing great, you can see me dancing in my Punjabi show.” Here is the link to the video:
