Unfortunately, Pakistan has had many incidents of mob violence in the recent past where innocent people like Mashal Khan and Priyantha Kumara were brutally killed. The governments and basically the justice system fails every time and the victims never get justice. In many instances like the recent one in Icchra, the mob is given special respect and they are allowed to rule as a jury which has increased the frequency of such instances. This time around a woman was cornered for wearing a calligraphy kurta and ASP Shehrbano had escorted her out of the market. The lady was later made to apologize in front of the cameras in order to “diffuse” the situation.
ASP Sheherbano Naqvi has been applauded by the authorities and the public alike. She even went to meet the Army Chief of the country and now she was invited by the Saudi Amabassador in Pakistan. She has been extended a special invitation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside her family in appreciation for her job.
The Saudi Amabassador has invited Shehrbano as a royal guest and she will be visiting KSA with her family. The Ambassador appreciated Shehrbano’s professionalism and commitment to her duty.
In Pakistan. getting invited as a Royal Guest is also a matter of honour and ASP achieved this after she was recommended for the Quaid e Azam Police Medal by the IGP.
