Atif Aslam is an internationally celebrated Pakistani singer who enjoys an incredible social media support of 11 million followers on Instagram. He is famously known for his sad songs like Aadat, Kuch Is Tarha, Ba Khuda, Dil Diyan Gallan, and others. Fans admire his high notes. Atif Aslam recently appeared in Maliha Rehman’s YouTube show where he opened up about the accusations that he charges heavy amount for appearing in an interview. He also talked about his stardom.
Talking about charging heavy amount, Atif Aslam said, “I know I don’t have to go and sit in every show. If someone says I charge a heavy amount, it clearly means he wants to invite me and maybe he wants the world to know about it. Allah has given me immense respect. Maybe sometimes I’m unable to go because of my busy schedule, but I still get to hear these things. I’m aware of them, and I’m unapologetic about it. I don’t want to respond. I’ve seen people’s attitudes change — they are good only until their show or interview is done. I know them inside out. It’s not always about arrogance; arrogance doesn’t suit human beings.”
Talking about success, Atif Aslam said, “At 18 years, I learnt to win the world — and I did. I have amazing fans. At that time, you want certain things: success, to perform at certain venues, your records to sell — and I achieved all of that. But then there comes a point when you realize it’s not enough. It’s never enough. The quest for more is always there. You want to achieve more and more, but not just to stay in the race — but to enjoy the success as well.”
It is pertinent to mention here that once Tabish Hashmi has revealed in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast that people even have demanded one crore rupees. Once Nida Yasir advised Atif in Tabish Hashmi’s show to charge less for his TV appearances and once make an appearance in her morning show.
