Recently, Atif Aslam appeared in an interview with India’s popular YouTube channel The Curly Tales, where he opened up about his stardom, success, and thoughts on quitting music.

Talking about his stardom, Atif Aslam said, “I was clueless. I had no idea about how I got successful. I have no idea till date what has happened, because after one song, you are like, okay, what next? And after the second, you think, this is it, people don’t like me. But after the album, it becomes challenging, as the responsibility kicks in. Then Bollywood adds a lot to it. A lot of people attribute it to hard work, but there was no hard work. Allah takes you where He wants you to be. That’s all about stardom or success.”
Talking about quitting music, he said, “I have never thought of leaving or quitting music. Yes, sometimes, there is a creative block, which I believe is important for an artist. There comes a time when you feel empty. You have to go through a certain phase and era as an artist where you experience a creative block. You can’t write anything. But then there comes a time when you see the glass is full. You just sit quietly, thank Allah, and enjoy it.”
