Atiqa Odho is a senior Pakistani TV and film actress known for her excellent acting skills and timeless beauty. She is currently appearing in Hum TV’s drama serial Neeli Kothi. She also co-hosts Kya Drama Hai.

This week, Atiqa Odho appeared on Kya Drama Hai as a co-panelist, where she critiqued Kashif Nisar and Kashf Foundation’s drama series Aik Aur Pakeezah.

Talking about the drama, Atiqa Odho said, “There is no wow factor in Aik Aur Pakeezah because we already watched so many of his dramas like these before. There are too many flashbacks in the drama. There is constant back-and-forth between the past and present, which becomes boring to watch. I actually started getting headaches because of the continuous switching between timelines. My expectations from Kashif Nisar as a director have gone down. Now I want to watch a ‘wow’ project that makes me forget Kabli Pulao. We are now watching international series like I recently watched an Australian series The Newsreader, and it was so well made after which stories like Aik Aur Pakeezah feel boring. Also, whenever we watch Kashif Nisar’s work now, it feels like old PTV-style storytelling—very raw and very depressing. It is good, but these are entertainment mediums, and people want to be entertained. It also seems like Kashif Nisar has done similar work before. Since we consume so much international content now, our work needs to be up to the mark. Case No. 9 was better because it was shot in a very modern way and was not hard to watch. ” Here is the link to the video.
