In a recent episode of Kya Drama Hai, Atiqa Odho opened up about what she considered a miscasting issue in Darke Nijat, particularly Saba Hamid playing Faran Tahir’s mother.
Talking about it, Atiqa Odho said, “The casting is fantastic except for the fact that I don’t understand how Saba Hameed can play the role of Faran Tahir’s mother. It was not making sense. Of course, we can play any character as actors, like Sania is also playing Ahsan’s mother, but because another drama Bus Tera Saath Hu is airing parallel to Dar E Nijat where they are playing husband and wife, that’s why it was not digesting [well]. To me, it’s unacceptable. I don’t know about others, but I can’t see it. Also, Saba till date is a chic, stylish and beautiful woman who doesn’t look like a Nani or Dadi. She looked unrealistic; her look was forced, as she is not a Nani-Dadi woman. This thing stuck with me while watching the show.” Here is the link to the video:
