Talking to Madeha Naqvi, Ayat Noor’s father said, “We spotted the culprit in CCTV footage. The boy was seen calling the baby girl, and from there, we got a hint. It was the only clip we had which was taken by the police, after which they disappeared. There was no camera further ahead on the streets so we don’t know what happened to my daughter. The police didn’t take any action for ten days after which we decided to protest. We saw multiple delays even after the protests, but finally, there were some developments, and the police showed us the video. I saw the video and recognized an 11-year-old boy, Yousaf, a Pathan who used to live near my house. He used to play outside our house. I told them that he was the culprit but I didn’t have proof of it. From the very first day, I told the police that I knew it was him. I also investigated his elder brother, but he said that no one was at home. We continued the investigation, after which we found more culprits were involved in the case. Not only that, this boy was even searching for the culprit with me on the first day. He was an 11-year-old boy who raped my daughter, and he admitted his crime in front of the police.” Watch here:
