Kites, strings and decorations are being sold and citizens face shortages. Kite merchants all over the province are now allowed to sell their products in Lahore as people gear up for the three day celebration. The amount of money spent just in two days in the city will shock you.

Lahoris have spent 32 crore Pakistani rupees in just two days on kites. First day saw total expenditure of 16 crores while second day marked an increase with 18 crores. Over 6 lakh kites have officially been sold in the city as of yet. The celebration is back and Lahoris are all set to celebrate it with full zeal and enthusiasm.
