The role of Yaqoob Khan could have been given to any Punjabi actor—you have such fine actors there. Please stop ruining the Punjabi language in your films. I was shocked to hear such hilarious, poorly spoken Punjabi. It felt so childish!. And why every time you buy fifty kilograms of kohl just to show every Muslim character wearing it? The type of Punjabi used in the film was so absurd. We made a comedic Punjabi film called Musammat Mutiyare in the past, where we spoke lines like, ‘Tussi ne assi se shaadi na ki to assi mar jaen ge,’ meaning, ‘If you don’t marry us, we will die!’.
