Bushra Ansari is a vocal celebrity who often speaks on various national and international issues in her daily YouTube vlogs. In her recent vlog, she criticized the Saudi government for mistreating Umrah and Hajj pilgrims and misusing their authority.

Bushra Ansari said, “Allah has showered Saudi Arabia with immense blessings, as it is home to all the holy places and Muslim pilgrims from across the world visit for worship. However, I feel they do not give it the same importance that we give to Makkah and Madina. They do not thank Allah enough for these blessings, as it has become normal for them. On the other hand, we go there as it is Allah’s sacred place, but for them, it feels like just another location, like a seaside area. I admit that some pilgrims may create mess or misuse facilities, but they also contribute to the economy. Every time we go, we bring business to them. It is Allah’s gift to them, and it has become our religious duty as Muslims to visit these places. Unfortunately, the way some officials treat Muslims is very disappointing. The Shurta (on-duty guards) can be extremely harsh; I have seen them hitting pilgrims with their legs. I have even seen clean and well-mannered people being mistreated. I think they lack proper grooming, and this should be part of their training. The staff at holy places should show kindness and compassion. I have personally witnessed them physically pushing and mistreating well-dressed women when they tried to approach the holy sites, which made me feel very sad. I even prayed to Allah, questioning why such people are given this responsibility.” Watch here:
