Yesterday, Bushra Ansari celebrated her birthday in Switzerland, where she had gone for fundraising events. She recently expressed her happiness about turning 69.
Talking about it, Bushra Ansari said, “Yes, on the 15th of May, I’m celebrating my birthday. I’m a true Taurus. I’ve been receiving messages from friends and family. My kids are sleeping at the moment—they’ll wish me too. And the news channels have been announcing that Bushra Ansari has completed 69 years of her life. Thanks to Allah for blessing me with such a memorable journey. It’s a strange phenomenon that people age-shame you for living a beautiful life filled with unforgettable experiences. I thank God for this blessing, despite the ups and downs. I never hide my age. We’ve been working for decades—my daughter was just one year old when I started working. What would I achieve by hiding my age? I won’t suddenly become Mahira Khan or Hania Aamir. I’ll still remain a mother and a person of my age.”
She further added, “People usually hide their age because of age shaming norm in our society. Also, I have seen many younger people who are not active or have almost left taking care of themselves so I always say one should be young at heart as there are many lethargic people with young bodies “.
