Dar-e-Nijat is a popular Pakistani drama that is garnering huge public and critical acclaim, with fans praising both the main leads and the supporting characters. The show is equally popular in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Middle East. The story of Dar-e-Nijat features the religious transformation of Zaryab after marrying Abubakar. Zaryab’s father is perfectly portrayed by Faran Tahir; however, this role was interestingly first offered to someone else.
Deepak Perwani, an ace Pakistani designer and actor, was originally offered Faran Tahir’s role.
In an interview with Ambreen Fatima, Deepak Perwani revealed: “Dar-e-Nijat was an amazing project by Saqib Khan, my director from Qarz-e-Jaan. It was Sheheryar Munawar and Sonia Khan’s first production. It was offered to me, and I signed it, but then the bridal, shaadi and fashion season started in October, which overlapped with the shooting schedule. So, I had to drop out, which I later regretted. Even Navin Naqvi, who plays Faran’s wife, is a friend of mine, and I wanted to work with her, but in the end, I had to leave it.” Watch here:
