Humaira Asghar was an actress and model who passed away in a very tragic manner. She gained fame after her appearance in Tamasha Season 1. The actress went on to work in several dramas and she has also worked in the fashion industry. Her body was discovered from her flat in DHA Karachi and it was partially decomposed. She was dead for 9 months before her body was actually discovered and this made national news.
DIG Sindh Police Asad Raza was a guest on FHM podcast and spoke abot Humaira Asghar case. He clearly stated that the character asssaination of victims that start as soon as some news comes out is wrong and the police department never judges the victims. Their duty is to provide justice and service to anyone who has been affected.
The officer also shated some facts of Humaira Asghar case. He said that the body was discovered when it was already 9 months old. They sent forensic and chemical samples to labs for investigation. He added that the evidence that can be found right after a death was also not available due to the passage of almost a year. He shared that no blood spots were found in the flat and none of the victim’s bones were broken which indicates there was no use of force.
He also shared that they have not completely ruled out suicide or murder but indications are this was a natural death. The investigation of Humaira’s phone also did not show that she was being blackmailed or anything. She had however, lodged a complaint about her Whatsapp getting hacked and the relevant police precinct was looking into it. He also revealed that no depression medicine was discovered from her flat.
