Asad ul Haq is a big name in the advertising world of Pakistan. He has been a part of the industry for three decades now and he has created many great projects in his career. He was a guest on Frieha Altaf’s show FWHy and spoke about the evolution of this industry, his passion for his work and his son who was born with clinical deafness.
Asad ul Haq is father to three kids. He revealed his youngest son was born with hearing problems. At first, they did not realize it and thought he was just a very calm baby. They took him to Agha Khan hospital when he was 6 months old and that is when they got the diagnosis. He pointed out a very prevalent issue in our society of how insensitive doctors are with patients. The doctor came to a lobby filled with other patients and told them that their child will never be able to hear. He dismissively told them to learn sign language as there is no other way.
Asad ul Haq shared his son’s miraculous journey from there. They went to every doctor and medical facility they heard about at that time. They got their baby hearing aids and he was able to assimilate into life like any other child. He is now living alone in LA for higher studies and he never looked back.
