Dr Ejaz Waris is a television and film critic who is known for his analysis of film and dramas. He has also been a known figure for working as an RJ for a long term of period. Nowadays, the actors and television viewers look up to his opinions because his takes are unfiltered.

Dr Ejaz Waris recently reviewed Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat’s film Zombied which according to him was a torture.

Talking about Zombied, Dr Ejaz Waris said, “Today we’re talking about the movie Zombied, which I just watched. I’m still sitting in the cinema hall, and as you can see, the entire theater is empty because, obviously, Zombied was playing. There’s a saying: “Kawa Chala Hans ki Chaal , Apni Bhi Gaya Bhool, the saying perfectly fits this film. This movie is exactly two hours of mental torture. Within those two hours, your mind will spin and you’ll go crazy. , movies don’t do well in Pakistan—. People aren’t very interested in watching films in cinemas. In such circumstances, making experiments like this, which have neither logic nor purpose, makes no sense. Zombied is a poor imitation of Hollywood films of 1980s and 1990s. It’s a two-hour long movie such films are supposed to scare you, this one doesn’t. It doesn’t make you afraid, it doesn’t make you cry, it doesn’t even make you laugh. Your emotions simply die while watching it. This film is a complete waste of money and time. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. If you want to try it, you can go to the cinema and enjoy it, but for me, it’s a big no. Fahad Mustafa, what have you done? And Mehwish Hayat? The moment the film starts, you begin wondering what kind of movie you’ve come to watch. The first ten minutes are fine, but after that, it turns into a complete disaster. As soon as the zombies appear, the movie goes straight down the drain. I was actually laughing while watching the zombies. Everything in the film happens so abruptly and so absurdly. The movie constantly gives you déjà vu because it feels like a copy of old English horror films. All the stars in the movie have been wasted. Every actor involved is completely underutilized. And honestly, I don’t understand why every film has to feature Babar Ali and Javed Sheikh. Please move beyond this formula. There are so many talented senior actors out there—try someone new. Why is it always Javed Sheikh and Babar Ali? As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing worth watching in this film. It’s a disaster, and from my side, it gets only 1.5 stars out of 5. It’s a completely avoidable movie. Trust me, by the time I will get home, I’ll probably need two Panadols” watch here:
