Talking about it, Dr. Omer Adil said, “Atiqa Odho is a veteran actor who is currently getting popularity for her critical remarks, often made on q talk show that is designed to target and criticize others. Recently, she body-shamed an actor and commented on several other sensitive issues”.

He further added, “Previously, she made a controversial statement about what couples do on their wedding night in arranged marriages. I would like to say—they do the same thing you did on your own wedding nights, three times in your life. She also criticized actor Ali Raza’s hairy chest, saying it disgusted her. People don’t seem to mind such remarks when they come from a woman, but if a man were to say the same thing to an overweight woman, suggesting she go for liposuction, he would be hated to the core. Body shaming is equally harmful for both men and women. If a woman can be hurt by such remarks, so can a man—mocking someone for a hairy chest is no different. Shaming comes in many forms, whether it’s about body, caste, creed, or ethnicity.
