Talking about it, Faisal Rehman said, “I am not back on the TV screen; I am back on social media. I am really not interested in television because I did a serial after ten years, and I didn’t enjoy it. The recent work offers no improvement in craft and, secondly, there is zero margin for performance in the roles I am offered. What can an Abbu do in a drama? I did two serials. It’s not that I don’t want to play a father, but at least give the character a story. I am an actor, not a businessman who will produce projects for himself. I need a good story and a good director; I only know acting.”

Talking about Netflix, he said, “We are a small industry and content is being produced, but why has Pakistani content still not reached Netflix? Why don’t they work with us? Because we have nothing original to offer. What they want is already being offered by India. There is a lack of professionalism and a lack of strong story telling here. You are culturally influenced by India and end up making stories that follow Indian culture. How can you move forward like this?”
