Her famous OST’s include Sajna, Aye Musht e Khaak, Hum Kahan ke Sachay Thay, Mere Humsafar, Noor Jahan, Meri Tanhai, Samjhota and others. Yashal is also admired for her live performances in the concerts.
Recently, Yashal Shahid performed in Hum TV’s 20 Anniversary. She sang Humsafar’s OST which was originally sung by the talented singer Qurat ul Ain Baloch. Yashal Shahid’s version of Humsafar didn’t inspire fans, as they are of the view that Yashal couldn’t match the texture and pace of Qurat ul Ain Balouch’s soulful voice. Many stated that Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch has sung this song so perfectly that no other singer can replace it. Fans also criticized the channel for not inviting her to the event. QB’s fans also tagged her in the post. Social media users were of the opinion that Yashal Shahid is also a very promising singer, but they couldn’t imagine Humsafar in any other singer’s voice.
