Talking about it, Farah Iqrar said, “The time when my father was sick was quite difficult for me. Any viewer can understand that the first hero of any girl is her father, no matter what kind of person he is. When he got sick, he underwent brain tumor surgery. After he recovered, the doctor told us he only had a few months left. We were happy that at least he had some time, but unfortunately, after a few months, he was diagnosed with liver cancer, after which his health started deteriorating rapidly. I was helpless. You don’t accept such news about your loved ones; it was a very difficult time. I asked the doctor to admit him to the hospital, but he refused and said that if he had been treatable, he would have admitted him. My father used to ask me why I wasn’t getting his treatment done and what had happened to him. He was getting weaker day by day, he was getting fits, you all know about it. One day, my father left us. He was at my phupo’s house during his last days. I don’t remember what was happening there; I was just sitting next to him when someone said, ‘Look at your father’s face.’ I had no courage to see him. When I finally did, I could not recognize him. He was quiet. Whenever he saw me, he used to pray for me. My sister told me to hold his hand, which was cold. It felt like my life ended with his death. Losing a parent is unbearable.”
