Akhara is a unique story with a strong cast that managed to pull the eye balls towards it. The inclusion of energy, action and sports added a flare to the drama and Faraz Farooqui was the star whose character was the most unexpected thing about Akhara and one of the main reasons for its success. As Akhara is coming to the end tonight, Faraz made some revelations about Akhara.
Faraz shared that he picked this role as this allowed him to have a unique character on screen, totally different from what is normally shown on television. He also shared that he had a very tough routine where he used to eat his meals and work out so he can look like a genuine wrestler and he is glad that the hard work paid off.

He also spoke about why he picked up a character with such limited screen time. He said that he knew that the death of Sultan would actually pick the drama up and he decided to take on this character as he knew he would be able to pull it off. He also talked about how he and Feroze discussed all the brotherly bonding scenes and Feroze told him that this will show people that Pakistani actors can also put in the effort.

Faraz also shared the bond he had with Feroze and how supportive they were of each other on the set as they filmed Akhara. They would bounce the ideas of each other and Sultan’s character turned out to be a fan favourite in the end.
