Farhan Saeed is an exceptionally talented Pakistani artist known for both his singing and acting. He first gained recognition as the lead vocalist of Jal, but his popularity grew immensely after the Ramzan comedy series Suno Chanda. His other notable dramas include Udaari, Prem Gali, Mere Humsafar, and Shirin Farhad. He also enjoys a strong social media presence, boasting 4.1 million followers on Instagram, and his popularity continues to rise. Farhan also produced the film Tich Button, written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. The cast included Iman Ali, Sonya Hussyn, Feroze Khan, and Farhan himself.
Recently, Farhan Saeed appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where he opened up about his flop film Tich Button.
Speaking about it, Farhan Saeed said, “When you connect with a project, and if you are not sincere with it or with the team, or if you have issues with it, it becomes unsuccessful. Iman didn’t have any issues with the project, but it was the wrong casting altogether. We made a film, it was a success, but it was difficult. The point is, there were unprofessional people involved. They will hear it and mind it, but that’s the truth. When I sign a project, I give my hundred percent. These are old-school, 90s-style things—being late on set, throwing tantrums. It’s obvious from their career graphs how they are progressing. We conducted screen tests for the actors, but they had a few issues.”
He further added, “After the shoot, problems started to arise. The shoot itself was difficult, especially in Nankana Sahib in minus 2 degrees. I can only give room to Iman here—she had MS and collapses in winter, but she was a star in her own right. She wanted PC-level protocols, which isn’t always possible, but I give full credit to Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha. They were amazing and dedicated people. I learned a lot. I would change many things about the film—casting and many other aspects. But for newbies, it wasn’t that bad.” Here is the link to the video:
He further added jokingly that the Button got Tiched and admitted that there were multiple issues or mistakes in the project altogether and if given a chance he won’t ever sign the cast he worked with. Here is the link to the video:
