Faryal Gohar is a senior Pakistani television actress who is praised for her versatile performances and iconic beauty. She has appeared in hit television classics such as Band Gali, Uraan, Visaal, Chaand Girhen, Kohkan, Mohini Mansion Ki Cinderella, and Chandni Raatain. Faryal Gohar was once married to renowned TV actor Jamal Shah, and their marriage lasted for 9 years, but unfortunately, the two parted ways later.
Recently, Faryal Gohar appeared in WE News’s programme hosted by Hina Salman. In the show, she responded to Jamal Shah’s statements denying her domestic abuse allegations.
Talking about it, Faryal Gohar said, “I have spoken my truth and I have evidence about all my truths. I can show them whenever needed, but such evidence is quite hard-hitting and destructive; they won’t be borne by many. Have you ever heard of the word narcissism? It is now quite common, so if you know about it, it should be elaborated on, the narcissistic behaviour should be known to all. Have you ever heard of hospital records, surgical records, gyne records, witnesses? They are all there. The problem is the person concerned has a life. I am not here to defend myself and attack him. I am here to talk about challenges faced by people. I was offered by many, but I didn’t avail the opportunity of speaking the truth.”
She further added, “I have spoken about the domestic violence that happened to me at the UN’s General Assembly. If you were not there, you didn’t have a screen; that doesn’t mean I haven’t talked about it. Were they my best friends to have missed an important detail of my life? It’s not the first time I talked about it. Yes, it wasn’t there in front of the public eye.”
She also said, “Yes, I got bitten by a dog at a very famous personality’s house where I had an interview; the man was there with me. They had Alsatian dogs. My miscarriage happened due to tetanus injections. The time I told was another pregnancy. At that time, this man was involved with other women. He wasn’t available, and it would be a big bombshell. I will reveal the name of that woman, who is very popular as well.”
She also added, “Yes, there were good things about Jamal too, but there was betrayal too. It was harder than love. He’s a talented man. I haven’t seen that intelligent man, but painful things were there. He said he wasn’t marriage material, but isn’t he now married?” She said this while mimicking his style.
She added that she has learnt her lessons and there is no bitterness regarding Jamal Shah now. She quoted Princess Diana, “There were three of us in the marriage.” I will say there were many in the marriage. I think lack of respect, knowledge, and many things caused the breakup.”
She further said that she has always been an admirer of his work, his talent, and there has been a whole gallery of his art pieces at her Zaman Park residence, and one he even gifted to her after marriage, saying he misses her or feels incomplete without her. It was a weird art piece of a beheaded woman caught in a cage.
