Fawad Khan is one of the biggest stars of Pakistan. He is also a known figure in India with his dramas Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai bringing his massive popularity across the border. That also kick started his Bollywood career and he has done films like Khoobsurat, Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil there. He was banned from India in 2016 and the star was all set to make a comeback in Bollywood with his upcoming film Abir Gulaal.
After Pahalgam Attack, there were calls for a ban on him once again. There has been a statement by the Indian Cine Employees Federation against Pakistani artists. Abir Gulaal was supposed to be released worldwide including India and Pakistan on 9th May. There were two songs of the film that were already released including Khudaya Ishq and Angrezi Rangrasiya. The songs were on Saregama’s YouTube channel and now they have been removed from the official YouTube channel.
According to India Today, Abir Gulaal will not be allowed to be released in India due to the attacks. The release is withheld and more information will be out soon.
