Recently, Faysal Quraishi appeared on Fahad Abid’s podcast, Fahad’s Den. In the podcast, he said that Pakistani dramas are in direct competition with Netflix and have grabbed a significant global audience and reach.
Talking about it, he said, “Now, at this time, our competition is directly with Netflix series. Globally, it is giving competition to Netflix. Like a free-to-air drama (Pakistani drama) is compared with a Netflix series. Our drama will make a maximum of 20 crore if it’s highly successful, while an Indian series on Netflix that is made in 40 crores is being compared to that. Then you see Pakistani dramas’ views on YouTube and ask Netflix what the views of their super-hit series are. One episode of ours will be way above then the views of their whole series. That means our drama is being loved worldwide. You can compare our actor to any actor in the world. If it’s not the competition, then why isn’t India opening Pakistani dramas for Netflix? Because they want their content to grow; their narrative is to support their content and people.” Watch here:
