Maidaan is an up coming show on ARY Digital and it has departed from the usual saas bahu format that we see. Faysal Quraishi is stepping in as coach in this new sports drama. The cast is big with names like Mehar Bano, Dananeer Mobeen and Varda Aziz in the cast.
Faysal Quraishi’s Maidaan has been reminding of a very popular film. The show is based around a coach who takes a women’s football team to glory. The same plot was seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Chak De India. Faysal is showing emotions and his look is also reminsicent of SRK’s from Chak De. However the latter was based on hockey and not football.
Chak De India also received massive love in Pakistan when it released.
