Fazal Hussain is a remarkable Pakistani actor known for his work in acclaimed projects like Ramchand Pakistani, Baby Baji, Baby Baji Ki Bahuwain, Beshar Momin, Jo Bichar Gaye, and many others. The actor was highly praised for his role in Baby Baji, after which he took a long break until the premiere of Mitti De Baway on Green Entertainment. In this drama, he plays the younger version of Wahaj Ali’s character, Baala.
Recently, he appeared on the FUCHSIA Magazine YouTube show hosted by Rabia Mughni. During the interview, he opened up about receiving the kind of appreciation he always longed for.
Regarding the public and critical acclaim, he said, “I knew the drama was gonna hit because of Wahaj and Mahira, but I wasn’t expecting their younger version to go this hit. I didn’t expect this. I am so happy; I have nothing to say. I am good. Now people have understood my craft. These people never realized it before. Now people know my craft. I was playing Paddle, started getting edits one after another, then I started getting calls. Then I saw the episode and read the comments. It was a moment of realization that it got clicked. I texted Wajahat Hussain and told him I’m happy.”
He further added, “I missed one thing that I wanted the audience to realize: my craft and my potential by themselves. It was known to many but they never accepted or said, but after this project, this happened. I wasn’t expecting this good response, and I’m loving this change. After this project, the thought process and perspective of people have changed about me. Now, I can say that I would like to do any difficult role that can’t be done by some other actor. I am up for tough roles.”
Talking about his Punjabi accent, Fazal Hussain said that he didn’t know many Punjabi words well and that he used to start speaking Urdu between the dialogues. Speaking Punjabi in an authentic accent was a challenge for him.
