Firdous Jamal is a versatile Pakistani television and film actor known for his hit dramas like Pyare Afzal, Khuda Aur Mohabbat, Waris, Manchalay Ka Sauda, Dehleez, Dhoop Deewar, Takmeel, Kaanch Kay Par, Anna, Nashaib, and many others. The senior actor often appears in interviews and podcasts and becomes a frequent victim of podcasters who trap him through controversial questions and dig out harsh remarks about legendary actors.

Recently, Firdous Jamal appeared on Ambreen Fatima’s YouTube show and opened up about his lifetime ban by Hum TV and the podcasters’ trap.

Talking about his ban by Hum TV, Firdous Jamal said, “If Hum TV has banned me, it’s their loss, not mine. Like, if you are refusing a selling product; it’s not the fault of the product. If Hum is not taking me in their dramas, it’s not my loss because earnings come from Allah. Rizq is given by Allah. If a certain head of a channel thinks they are the providers, they are wrong because no one is bigger than Allah. It’s Allah’s responsibility to provide us with money, work, and rizq. We, as actors, learnt the craft and dedicated our lives to acting. I am a hardworking actor. If you are criticizing me, I can’t do anything. I talk about people’s craft, not their personality.”
Talking about podcasters’ trap he said, “I was unaware of the fact that these podcasters dig into controversy. Honestly, I was clueless about it. Now I have started to understand their strategy; otherwise, I didn’t know what they were doing to me. I am a simple Pathan man, a Muslim man. I hardly understand people’s gimmicks. My belief is to speak the truth, talk about craft, and do my craft honestly and realistically. I have honestly lived my life.”.
He further added that he now understands why podcasters don’t talk about his craft and focus only on controversy because controversy sells more than technical conversations and gets more popularity among the masses.
