He has worked in some of the biggest classics of the PTV era. He has since been working in private productions and he did some great characters over the years.

Firdous appeared in a podcast and this time he was seen making negative judgments about some legendary actors of Pakistan. He is maintaining his streak of passing controversial remarks. Many of these names are not with us anymore and he still had a lot to say about their craft. He was harsh in his words and did not shy away from saying what was on his mind.

Speaking about Abid Ali, Firdous Jamal said that Abid Ali was a type actor. He was selfish like everyone but as far as acting is concerned he was okay. He called Talat Hussain a stereotyped actor and used the word cheap theatricalities for him. According to him Qavi Khan was a good actor for the craft he knew while Shafi Mohammad was a simple person who was never really an actor. Shafi just played himself on screen. He called Rahat Kazmi just a showpiece with no talent.
