Nida Yasir is the top morning show host of Pakistan. She is the only one who has lived through the whole golden period of morning shows and she is still reigning. She is known for her controversial statements and controversies she keeps landing in. In a recent show of hers, she has spoken against food delivery riders and she has been receiving massive backlash for her insensitive comments.
Food delivery apps have become very common in Pakistan in the last decade. People order out and it has brought ease to everyday routines. Delivery workers, however, work in very harsh environments. From weather problems to safety issues, they go through a lot everyday and they are not even proportionately paid for it.
Nida Yasir criticized them and said that these riders cause a lot of problems. They never bring change with them and try to “swindle” extra cash from the people who have ordered food. She said that one shoud always keep the exact amount to pay these riders and it is their responsibility to bring change if they are delivering food.

We pay them for expensive food but we forget to pay them respect. They are also humans, fathers and sons and may be the only providers of their homes. Thus showing them respect is of utmost importance.
