Captain Isfandyar Ahmad Bukhari was a young Pakistan Army officer who was born in 1988 in Attock and embraced martyrdom at Badaber Peshawar in 2015. He was martyred while commanding Pakistan Army troops during the TTP attack on PAF Camp Badaber on 18 September 2015. He was posthumously awarded the Tamgha-e-Jurat by the Government of Pakistan. Captain Isfandyar also earned the prestigious Sword of Honour at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA). A roadway in Karachi has been named in his honor, and on 11 June 2016, the District Headquarters Hospital Attock, where he was born, was renamed Captain Isfandyar Bukhari Shaheed District Hospital Attock.

The drama has been directed by Haseeb Hassan, who previously directed the military-based period drama Jo Bichar Gaye. It is a presentation of Geo TV and 7th Sky Entertainment and has been written by Abid Hassan Bukhari. The cast includes Ali Ammar, Hina Afridi, Nauman Masood, Salma Hasan, Tauseeq Haider, Hina Bayat, Saad Azhar, Umer Darr, Nayyer Ejaz, and Hassan Niazi.
