Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed got married last year, in February 2025, in Makkah in a destination wedding attended by all their close family members and friends, including their parents and siblings. Their Nikah in Makkah was a viral affair and trended on social media for days. It also sparked a new trend of celebrities getting Nikahfied in Makkah or Medina. It has been more than a year since their marriage, and they are very happy together.

Today, Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan appeared on Green Entertainment’s Ramzan transmission Mehfil-e-Ramzan, hosted by Rabia Anam and Danish Taimoor. On the show, they opened up about life after marriage and their Nikah in Makkah.

Regarding women changing after marriage, Gohar Rasheed said, “Yes, we were close friends, we knew each other well, but in all honesty, people do change after marriage. Personalities become different; there is a stark difference in the person, and sometimes you feel like it’s a new person you started life with. We are the same, but you discover new things about each other daily, and this is the beauty of Nikah,”

Kubra Khan also added, “We had some initial fights about this, where he complained that I had turned into a ‘typical wife,’ to which I said, ‘Yes, because I am your wife.’”
Talking about their Nikah in Makkah, Kubra said, “The funny thing is, we were friends and discussed everything regarding our marriage. From day one, I told him I wanted to do my Nikah in Mecca. He said he felt the same. Eventually, we got married, so it was inevitable that our Nikah would be in Makkah. Many friends also joined us for the Nikah, which made it even more special.”
