Haider Sultan Rahi is son of late legendary film artist Sultan Rahi who was a well-known film figure due to his countless hit Punjabi films including the most watched film in the cinema Maula Jatt. Haider Sultan also tried his luck in Ptv dramas and Punjabi films. Fans praised his TV projects but didn’t like him in Punjabi films. A few of his Ptv dramas include Armaan, Aag , Hum Aik Hain and others. His notable films are Sodaagar, Kundi Na Kharka and Basheera Gujar.
Recently, Haider Sultan gave an interview to RNN News , hosted by Bushra Khan. In the interview Haider Sultan talked about why Humayun Saeed’s Love Guru faced public backlash.
Talking about it, Haider Sultan said, “Now if I cast Humayun Saeed in a role as a college boy; no one will accept it, people will only accept him in a good suitable character role. Casting plays an important part in the success of a film, if done right. Now, Salman Khan and Shahrukh play hero but are accepted just because they choose characters that suit them. They have recently worked in a copied filmmfrom Hollywood. Love Guru is the name of the film which is a copy, first it was copied in India where Salman Khan played the lead character, here it was done by Humayun Saeed. I have given them suggestions about films but they want to play safe and do the similar movies again and again. Here is the link to the video:
