Hammad Shoaib is a multi-talented Pakistani actor, dancer, and model who has appeared in numerous hit television plays. Some of his notable projects include Ishq Hai, Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi, Dil Hi Tou Hai, Raaz-e-Ulfat, Maa Nahi Saas Hoon Main, Tum Bin Kesay Jiyen, Soteli Mamta, Saaya 2, Shehnai, Ibadat-e-Ishq, and Nadaan, among others. He was recently praised for his performances in Green Entertainment’s drama series Main Zameen Tu Aasman and ARY Digital’s hit soap serial Chaalbaaz.
Recently, Hammad Shoaib appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me. During the podcast, he opened up about being compared to Ranveer Singh and about social media trolling.
Talking about the comparison, Hammad Shoaib said, “I was initially compared to Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh because my looks resemble his. I was also asked about it in interviews, and I always said that he is a great actor and a brilliant performer. However, I don’t aim to become him or copy him because I am talented myself and want to make my own name and identity. That’s exactly what I did — I made my name through my work, and Alhamdulillah, there is no such tag on me of copying Ranveer.” Watch here:
Speaking about trolling, Hammad Shoaib said, “I have read a few trolling comments about myself. One stated, ‘Yeh pathar ka adakar hai’ — he is a stone-faced actor. Another comment said, ‘Wow, it’s a great acting piece, please do come on television because I don’t watch it anymore.’ I rarely read comments on YouTube. I am fortunate enough not to become a victim of harsh social media trolling. Mostly, I receive appreciation and praise from fans and I am glad for that.” Here is the link to the video:
