His drama Man Mayal was also a hit serial which was liked by the fans. The actor is currently appearing in Ary Digital’s drama serial Jaan E Jahan and fans are loving his positive character. Hamza Ali Abbasi grabs a huge social media following because of his friendly attitude and unique style. Lately, Hamza Ali Abbasi has devoted himself to Islam and he often speaks on various social issues in the light of Islamic teachings.
The actor has recently given an interview on Samaa Tv’s show Meri Saheli through a telephone conference. In the show, Hamza Ali Abbasi was invited by host Bushra Khan and other co-hosts. In the show, Hamza Ali Abbasi talked about working environment in Pakistan for women. He also gave his opinion on how men should treat women at work place.
Talking about harassment at work place, Hamza Ali Abbasi said, “I am a very proud man because my sister and my wife are working women, and I am surrounded by very strong women. Also, I am very much vocal about woman empowerment. I see now Independent women become supporter of their families. I agree with you that women still face harassment at work. We (men) should play a leading role in this situation, we should not accept such behaviour, we should denounce it, we should call it out, we should not normalize it because we ( the men) have unfortunately normalized such behaviours. Such behaviour should be called out, criminalised. Women, today, are very forthcoming as they themselves are calling out harassment, we should encourage strong women who talk about harassment, they should openly talk about it, it will be heard and catered. Talking about the situation women are facing in certain fields like showbiz and others, Hamza Ali Abbasi said, “I have seen an overall change in the situation, now things are better. However, men should be supportive towards women, they should make sure the environment around them is safe.
