Haroon Shahid is a versatile and talented Pakistani television and film actor & singer. He began his career as a musician but later switched to acting. His debut film, Verna, with Mahira Khan, made him a popular face in Pakistan. Haroon started grabbing good television projects because of his great acting skills. Haroon Shahid appeared in various hit plays, including Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, Khaas, Tinkay Ka Sahara, Nikah, Qayamat, Be Rung, Milkiyat, Do Bol, and others. Recently, Haroon Shahid appeared on Wasi Shah’s show Zabardast. In the show, he revealed that the first choice for the female lead in his debut film Verna was Kareena Kapoor.
Talking about it, Haroon Shahid revealed, “Weirdly, previously, Kareena Kapoor was part of this film before Mahira. Shoaib Mansoor had already talked to Kareena. It was the time when he had many connections in India and Bol and Khuda Kay Liey were popular there, and I think he had that influence where he managed to shoot in the most difficult situations. So, Kareena was supposed to be part of the film, but because she was expecting her child then, she backed off. Shoaib Mansoor said to me, “Kareena can’t do it, but how about Mahira?” I was happy because both were superstars anyway. I think he was in discussion with Kareena Kapoor. I don’t want to reveal everything, but that’s true. Mahira Khan was a great support throughout the film shoot. She is humble and hardworking and it was a pleasure working with her” He further added that he will always choose Mahira over Kareena because he has worked with Mahira multiple times. Watch here:
