Talking about his Nikah, Haroon said, “I have an unforgettable memory related to my Nikah because it took two hours! My in-laws are Pashto-speaking, and there were some cultural differences. We went for the Nikah, but there was a long and unpleasant situation regarding Haq Meher. Although,we told them our suggestions and there was no misunderstandings but still there was something off. It is a strange memory, we still feel shocked when we recall it. We, being Punjabi, suggested a figure, but it became an issue because of their cultural customs. It felt unsettling at that time, but now we laugh about it.” Maryam Noor also added that the Punjabi people usually settle for whatever Haq Meher is suggested by the in-laws, but Pashtuns don’t agree on anything less than what they demand.”
Haroon further added, “When I became a father, it was a life-changing moment for me. I think fathers truly realize how fatherhood feels like when they hold their child for the first time. It was an overwhelming experience — I remember my mother was crying. There’s also a funny memory: the nurses at the hospital caught me for pictures and I got dragged into another situation. I was so shocked because one of them was telling everyone, ‘He’s an actor who just became a father!’”
