Hassan Ahmed plays Hameed in Jama Taqseem. The drama is breaking records and it has turned out to be a sleeper hit with the audience. The show is talking about the problems of a joint family system in a very realistic manner. Hassan plays the older brother who is dealing with a very toxic wife, a colourful past and a son who is not under his control. The actor has given his best and he shared his thoughts on the drama in an interview with Something Haute.

Hassan Ahmed shared that he was initially offered Majeed. He read the script and he liked Hameed more for his screen time and nuances. He asked the makers if he could do Hameed and he chose to play that character in the end. Later makers also said that yes he will be playing Hameed as he can do the character justice.

Hassan Ahmed also spoke who Hameed is as a person. He shared that Hameed is the reflection of your everyday man. He is negative as he wants to take over the business and he is selfish about his aims in life. But he is also positive as he silently supported his niece and he always worries about his parents. He is just an everyday man who gets influenced by everyone around him and starts behaving in that manner.

Hassan also shared that he feels that such big joint families cannot work as there are too many clashes. Jama Taqseem is just trying to show society both pros and cons of a joint family system. Every kind of character is represented in the show and we can all learn from it. He personally lives in a joint family with him and his parents and they have always worked and put in effort to keep it positive.
